just quickly...

before I am due in at work at 11am...Today is the last drop in before we finish for Christmas..and Ive already been here for a whole term!!! wow its crazy thinking about where I was when I first came here and now, only 3 months later, I'm loving it and totally settled..And I really cant imagine leaving the kids in a few more months when Im supposed to be coming home...It would be so weird because they would just carry on doing what they do without me...and there wouldnt be any closure per say (haha sounds like a rocky breakup)..so at this moment I am really truly considering staying on unitl my visa runs out at the end of July..which is the end of the English school year and when all the other volunteers finish theire placements as well..I will definitely know by the middle of January whether Im staying or not so I will let you all know..and as much as I totally miss everyone and everything back home I feel I probably will stay..

Things have been crazy busy the past few weeks with all the Christmas things..I must say we throw a pretty good Christmas party at the drop ins..haha however the way we decorate leaves much to be desired..I did the best I could with christmas tree baubles, minus the christmas tree, and a few strings of tinsel..which ended up in the drop in looking like a Christmas tree had thrown up and spat decorations all over the place..however it was cosy and very nice..These parties included christmas mince pies, hot chocolates for the kids, games, raffles, competitions and pool tournaments..and at the Skinner street party we had the owner of a gym in the area come and talk to us about how he had played int he football FA cup final in 1978...it was truly amazing..and the kids loved it..

On Tuesday night we had our staff Christmas dinner at a really nice restaurant called the spyglass and kettle..amazing food..amazing company..and just good fun all round..

On Sunday Im heading off to Cambridge to go and have Christmas with Dan..then on the 28th Im going to stay with my friend Kirsty in Reading and go to her sisters 21st..then come back to Gillingham on the 31st and then go away again to staff conference in Wales where we get to stay in a castle!!!!
